Arsenal Women Secure Knockout Phase Spot With 1-0 Victory Over Twente

Beth Mead's early strike ensured Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Twente in the Women's Champions League, securing a spot in the knockout stage. Despite not being at their best, Renee Slegers' team guaranteed at least a play-off position. They need another win in their final match to aim for a top-four finish.

Arsenal started strong, with Mariona Caldentey and Mead having shots cleared off the line within eight minutes. Ten minutes later, Alessia Russo's excellent play set up Mead for a deflected shot that found the bottom corner. Twente struggled to respond, managing only one shot per half.
