Declan Rice praised the team's performance in the Champions League after they drew 2-2 with Aston Villa, despite leading 2-0 at home. Rice scored his first Champions League goal, while Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard also found the net. "It was an important win tonight," Rice told TNT Sports. "We need to keep winning games. I think the game at the weekend [against Aston Villa was] a real kick in the teeth. We should be seeing it out, but to bounce back tonight and win [was crucial]."

The midfielders' contributions were pivotal, with Rice and Odegaard scoring after well-timed runs into the box. Rice emphasised the importance of midfielders contributing goals, stating that Arteta has been urging them to make those extra yards count. "The manager has been on us really hard about midfielders arriving because so many goals can come from there," he added.

Despite recent challenges, Rice remains optimistic about Arsenal's Champions League campaign. He noted that they have one more match against Girona and expressed hope for another victory. "It's been a tough month, but [we must] keep being positive, and we go again," he said.

Odegaard shared his satisfaction with their current position: "We needed that [win]. We've put ourselves in a really good situation now. It was a good and solid win, so I'm very happy." The team is focused on continuous improvement and maintaining their competitive edge.
