This award, established in 1815, is bestowed by the King of Spain and the Grand Chancellor, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. It celebrates individuals and institutions that have provided extraordinary services to Spain or have helped in fostering international relations.

The ceremony took place at the Spanish Embassy in London, where Arteta was surrounded by family, friends, and key Arsenal personnel.

In response to this honour, Arteta expressed his gratitude. He extended his thanks to the King of Spain and the Grand Chancellor, appreciating the significance of the moment.

"I am both humbled and honoured to receive The Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and my family to send my sincere gratitude and thanks to the King of Spain and the Grand Chancellor, the Minister of Foreign Affairs," Arteta said

"It is a truly wonderful moment to accept this award today at the Embassy of Spain in London, together with so many people who have been inspirational to me during my life," he added.

The Gunners boss also thanked his family and the people who supported in his journey. Arteta has embarked as one of the top managers in the world. The former Arsenal captain has revitalized the North London club after joining them as the head coach in 2019.
