Leandro Trossard Believes Arsenal Have What It Takes To Win Champions League Title

Leandro Trossard asserts that Arsenal possesses the quality to win the Champions League. He emphasises the importance of mindset and teamwork as they prepare for crucial matches.

Leandro Trossard is optimistic about Arsenal's potential to secure the Champions League title, describing such an achievement as magical. Currently, Arsenal sits fifth in the league standings after six matches, sharing 13 points with six other teams. A win against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday would significantly enhance their chances of automatic qualification for the round of 16. Trossard is confident in the team's ability to succeed.

Reflecting on his childhood dreams, Trossard shared with TNT Sports that winning the Champions League is a goal many aspire to achieve. He considers it one of the most prestigious tournaments and believes Arsenal has the squad capable of triumphing. "I think as a kid, that is what you dream of [winning the Champions League]," he expressed. "It is such a hard competition, but I think and believe that we can do that with this squad and this team."

Trossard Confident in Arsenal's Champions League Chances

The Gunners are set to face Wolves in their upcoming Premier League match, aiming to narrow the six-point gap behind leaders Liverpool, who have an extra game to play. Despite a challenging end to 2024, Mikel Arteta's team managed to win 16 out of their last 18 league games last season. Trossard has encouraged his teammates to replicate this form moving forward.

Trossard emphasised the importance of maintaining a winning mindset over the next four months. "Win every game, that needs to be our mindset," he stated when discussing his expectations for the team. He acknowledged that achieving consistent victories is difficult but believes they are capable, especially after overcoming challenges last year.

If selected against Dinamo Zagreb, Trossard will celebrate his 100th appearance for Arsenal since joining from Brighton in January 2023. The Belgian international expressed joy at reaching this milestone. "I am really happy, it is a great moment," he said. Being part of such a reputable club and surrounded by talented individuals makes him proud.

Trossard praised the positive atmosphere within the team and highlighted how everyone supports each other during tough times. "We have such a good atmosphere," he noted. Even when results don't go their way, players strive to uplift one another's spirits.

As Arsenal prepares for crucial matches ahead, Trossard remains hopeful about overcoming past injuries and mental challenges. He believes that maintaining belief and focus will be key to achieving success both domestically and in Europe.
