Arsenal's recent triumph over Manchester United marked Mikel Arteta's 150th win as manager. The Gunners secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba, both resulting from corner routines. This success highlights Arsenal's proficiency in set-pieces, having scored more goals from corners (22) than any other Premier League team since last season began.
Arteta emphasised the importance of maintaining their set-piece dominance. "We want to have the ability to score from every phase of play," he stated. Arsenal had more shots from corners (seven) than open play (six) against United, showcasing their strategic advantage. The team also managed 13 corners without reply from their opponents.

The victory against United was historic for Arsenal, marking their fourth consecutive league win over them for the first time ever. Additionally, they have won their last four home league matches against Manchester United, a streak not seen since April 1978 when they achieved seven consecutive wins.
Despite this win, Arsenal slipped to third place following Chelsea's 5-1 victory over Southampton. However, they narrowed the gap with leaders Liverpool after Liverpool drew 3-3 with Newcastle United. Declan Rice commented on title speculation, saying it's too early for such discussions and emphasised staying competitive until February.
Arteta echoed Rice's sentiments about the league's difficulty and unpredictability. He mentioned being unaware of Liverpool dropping points due to celebrating in the dressing room but acknowledged that winning the league remains challenging at this stage.
Looking ahead, Arsenal will visit Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday before hosting Monaco in the Champions League at the Emirates Stadium. These upcoming fixtures are crucial as they aim to maintain momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
