Arsenal have reportedly initiated talks with Ben White for a potential contract extension at the club.
White has been a significant acquisition for the Gunners, having been transferred from Brighton in a £50 million deal back in 2021.

Since his inclusion in the squad, he has solidified his position as Mikel Arteta's prime choice for the right-back role. With his multifaceted ability, the England defender has cemented his place as a regular in North London and the Gunners want to tie him down to a new deal.
The former Brighton player has been an integral part of the Arsenal team with 103 appearances till date. His most recent display of prowess was in the resounding 6-0 victory against Lens in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The decision to negotiate White's contract extension is spearheaded by the club's sporting director, Edu. This move is viewed as a token of appreciation for White's consistently commendable performances, notwithstanding the two and a half years remaining on his existing contract.
Currently, White earns around £120,000 at Arsenal. The new terms will mean the defender earning around £200,000 per week, which is a significant rise.
After his fruitful time at the Emirates, White is also said to be keen on staying at the club. If things fall accordingly, we may see White penning new terms with the Gunners before the closure of the January transfer window. If the new deal comes into effect, White will join the expanding list of players who have chosen to extend their association with Arsenal.
In recent months, Mikel Arteta has successfully secured the future of many of his key players. Since October 2022, the club has witnessed several first-team regulars including Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes, extending their contracts.
White is expected to play a part in their upcoming Premier League game against Wolves. Arsenal are currently on top of the Premier League table with 30 points after 13 matches and will be aiming to stay at the summit as they host Wolves on Saturday.
