Arsenal ready to cash in on Ramsey in surprise summer transfer move

London, March 5: Arsenal are getting ready to cash in on Aaron Ramsey in the summer transfer window as reports have emerged that the player is unwilling to sign a new contract.

Ramsey joined Arsenal as a 17-year-old from Cardiff City in 2008 and has made over 300 appearances for Arsenal, winning three FA Cups but it now has surfaced that he could end his connection at the end of the season.

Arsenal have reportedly been working behind the scenes to influence Ramsey to put pen to paper on a new deal but it is believed that with no Champions League football at his disposal and Arsenal on the downturn the player is now willing to jump the ship.

There are also reports in the media that the Welshman wants a significant pay hike to stay at the club which the club has refused thus a stand-off between the club and player is been doing the rounds.

Ramsey's Arsenal contract expires on 2019 nevertheless after the Gunners faced some difficult bits regarding contract stand-off with Sanchez, they are keen to avoid a similar situation.

Sanchez moved to Man Utd apparently in the January transfer window, with Arsenal having to settle for a swap deal to bring in Henrikh Mkhitaryan rather than cash-in on the Premier League star.

Thus in order to avoid the same situation, if the player ultimately refuses to sign a new deal, according to reports, the Gunners' board will transfer the player in the Summer and will hope to encash on the player.

The Wales player just like his team also has endured a difficult time this season and faced some serious backlash from his own fans after their consecutive 3-0 defeats against Manchester City.

The midfielder has scored six goals and made six assists in 19 Premier League games for Arsenal so far this season but has been continuously underperforming, and was dropped in Arsenal's defeat 2-1 against Brighton last week.

However, losing a fan favourite and prospect like Ramsey will surely irritate the Gunners, and could also spark an exodus at the club as some of the reports recently also have stated that right-back Bellerin is also not happy at the club and could be looking for a way out.
