Arsenal Triumphs In North London Derby With Gabriel's Decisive Goal Against Tottenham

Gabriel Magalhaes scored the only goal in Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Tottenham, keeping Arsenal unbeaten in the Premier League. The win pushes Arsenal to second place, while Spurs face their second defeat.

Gabriel Magalhaes scored the decisive goal as Arsenal got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday. The defender netted the only goal of the contest after 64 minutes, punishing Spurs for a lapse in concentration from a corner as he drifted away from Cristian Romero to thump in Bukayo Saka's pinpoint cross. The hosts had the better chances in the first half, through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke, but were thwarted by David Raya's saves and some disappointing misses. Despite Spurs' search for a late equaliser, Arsenal were able to hold out for the win and maintaintheir unbeaten start to the Premier League season. Mikel Arteta's side are up to second in the table on 10 points, while Spurs are 13th after suffering their second defeat of the campaign.

Arsenal have demonstrated their set-piece expertise once again with Gabriel's crucial finish. This marks their 23rd goal from set-pieces (excluding penalties) since last season began, more than any other team. Notably, three of their last four Premier League goals against Spurs have originated from corners.

Arsenal Wins Derby 1-0 vs Tottenham

The Gunners have now secured six consecutive away league wins, their best streak since achieving eight between March and September 2013 under Arsene Wenger. Additionally, they have won three straight away North London derbies for the first time since September 1988.

Mikel Arteta's squad moved up to second place in the Premier League standings with this victory, accumulating ten points so far. Meanwhile, Tottenham find themselves in 13th position after enduring their second loss of the season.

In the first half, Tottenham had promising opportunities through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke but failed to convert due to David Raya's impressive saves and some missed chances. Despite Tottenham's efforts for an equaliser late in the game, Arsenal managed to maintain their lead and secure all three points.

The match was notably intense with seven yellow cards issued in the first half alone—five for Tottenham and two for Arsenal—setting a record for most cards shown in the opening half of a Premier League match.

This win helps Arsenal continue their unbeaten start to this Premier League season. Their defensive resilience and set-piece efficiency played key roles in securing this hard-fought victory over their North London rivals.
