Arsenal set to give up on Key Target as valuation difference ends pursuit

The summer transfer window is buzzing, and Arsenal's big plans have hit a bump as they look to bolster their squad.

The Gunners, led by manager Mikel Arteta, have been busy signing players like Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Noni Madueke to strengthen their team.

Arsenal set to give up on Key Target as valuation difference ends pursuit

Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with a move to the club but the Gunners are yet to agree a deal with the Portuguese club. Although the general expectation is that Gyokeres will join Arsenal, it still remains in a balance.

But their chase for Real Madrid's star winger Rodrygo, a key target, seems to be falling apart, leaving fans confused and disappointed. Reports say Arsenal are close to giving up on signing the 24-year-old Brazilian.

As per Cadena Sar, the Gunners are set to walk away from the Rodrygo deal as the valuation may not permit the North London club. Despite a strong interest for the 24-year-old, Arsenal look set to give up on their dreams.

Real Madrid want €90 million (£78m) for Rodrygo, but Arsenal think it's too expensive. The club has already spent over £200 million this summer, and talks with Real Madrid, now managed by Xabi Alonso, haven't gone well. Arsenal hoped Rodrygo would join them, but the high price has made them rethink their plans.

They're also looking at Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, who costs £68m, as a cheaper option to improve their attack. To afford more signings, Arsenal might sell players like Reiss Nelson or Fabio Vieira. The likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard are also likely to be offloaded, if the Gunners pursue more players in this window. Meanwhile, Liverpool have also shown interest in Rodrygo, adding more pressure.

With the transfer window closing soon, fans are wondering if Arteta can still build the team he wants or if this setback will force Arsenal to change their strategy.
