Bengaluru, February 7: Arsenal have had a terrific transfer window in the last months as they acquired the service of former Manchester United playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and also signed Bundesliga high profile star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund.
But it seems like, the North London side just do not want to stop here and are already planning their Summer transfer. According to Juventus defender Daniele Rugani's agent, the Gunners have shown an interest in signing the Italian defender in the next Summer.
Wenger has been in search for a defender for a long time and also targeted West Brom defender Jonny Evans and Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas in a last-ditch attempt. However, both the moves did not materialise but as per the young defender's agent, they have now turned their head towards the Juventus defender and already enquired about the player.
However, the representative of the Italy international, Davide Torchia also suggested that the player is currently happy at Turin and despite interest, Arsenal are yet to make any official contact or bid for the player.
"Daniele’s doing well, I’m happy for him," his agent told Radio Sportiva.
"Arsenal? They didn’t launch any attempts for him. They expressed a liking for him but we have respect for Juventus."
The former Empoli youth player got his senior Juventus break-in in 2015 but is yet to kick-start his Old Lady career on a full throttle.
Following the surprise exit of star defender Leonardo Bonucci in the summer to AC Milan, it was expected that the player would be regular under Allegri, however, the 23-year-old has only managed just 10 starts in Serie A this season till now.
The player earlier in 2016 signed an improved deal with the defending Seria Champions which ties him down till 2021 and should Arsenal be willing to launch an offer, they surely have to make a mouth-watering offer for the player to lure him away from Italy.
