Arsenal have been handed another massive injury blow as defender Gabriel Magalhaes went off injured in the Premier League match against Fulham on Tuesday (April 1).
The Brazilian defender has been a pillar at the back for the North London club and his potential absence will be a body blow for them in the final yet crucial phase of this season.

Around the 15th minute, while sprinting back during a Fulham counter-attack, Gabriel appeared to injure his hamstring, immediately clutching the back of his thigh before falling to the ground. Despite attempting to continue by defending a corner with a noticeable limp, he was ultimately substituted off, with Jakub Kiwior coming on as his replacement.
Jurrien Timber was also holding his knee minutes after his departure but the Dutchman has continued. Mikel Merino has since given Arsenal the lead as they are leading 1-0 at the break.
This injury is particularly concerning for Arsenal, as it raises doubts about Gabriel's availability for the upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid. The severity of the injury has yet to be officially confirmed, but hamstring issues often require a recovery period that could sideline players for critical fixtures. Gabriel left the field while shaking his head in disappointment, which may indicate the injury is serious. With just a week to go from the first leg against Real Madrid, it looks scary for the Premier League club.
The former Lille centre-back is a key piece in the Arsenal jigsaw and if he is unable to feature for the remainder, it will be a significant issue for them. Gabriel and William Saliba's defensive partnership has been a boon for them and the Brazilian's potentially lengthy period on the sidelines can thwart Arsenal's hopes in the business period of the season.
