Arsenal vs Liverpool: Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber spotted at Gunners Hotel ahead of PL clash

By MyKhel Staff

Two Arsenal stars who are currently coming back from injuries were spotted in the Arsenal team hotel ahead of their gigantic clash against Liverpool.

Arsenal are up against Liverpool in a crucial Premier League match at the Emirates stadium today (Sunday, October 27).

Ahead of the match, Arsenal received a significant boost as Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber, who were both previous injury concerns, were seen joining their team. This development came as a relief given Saka's recent absence due to a muscle injury sustained while on international duty with England. Similarly, Timber had missed Arsenal's recent loss to Bournemouth, sparking worries he might also miss the crucial match against Liverpool due to being omitted from the Netherlands' squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had previously kept the participation status of these key players ambiguous. However, their presence with the squad on the eve of the game suggests they might be available for selection.

This comes as a massive boost for the Gunners, who are preparing to face Arne Slot's Liverpool side, currently enjoying an impressive run of form. Arteta has emphasized the depth and quality within his squad, indicating he will not use any injuries as an excuse should his team not secure a victory.

Despite the potential absence of key players and the suspension of William Saliba, disrupting Arsenal's central defensive partnership, Arteta remains optimistic about the options available to him. The Frenchman saw a red card against Bournemouth which means Brazilian defender Gabriel will have a new partner at the centre of the Gunners' defence.

The North London club have had a decent run in the last few years against the Merseyside outfit. Arsenal are currently unbeaten against the Reds in the league since 2022-23 season, and secured a 3-1 victory at the Emirates stadium last season.
