Arsenal's Premier League title hopes will face a litmus test as the Gunners welcome champions Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Arsenal have had a terrific start to the season and currently lead the Premier League pack with 51 points after 21 games. But they have failed to win the last two Premier League games, which have curbed their lead at the top of the table. The loss against Everton and draw at home against Brentford means Arsenal are just three points ahead of Manchester City in the league table.
Man City, the defending Champions have been chasing the top spot and can overtake Arsenal if they win at the Emirates. Pep Guardiola's men have had some stutters in the season, but will be backing themselves to get all three points against the Gunners.
It will also be a massive battle between Pep Guardiola and his former apprentice Mikel Arteta, who is the current Gunners boss. The battle of the table-toppers will carry monumental consequences as both teams know the ramifications of a defeat.
Arsenal will be without the services of Emile Smith Rowe (Thigh), Gabriel Jesus (Knee), Mohamed Elneny (Knee) while Reiss Nelson is also doubtful for the match. Mikel Arteta is expected to go with the same starting lineup, but if there is a change, it can be at the left wing as Leandro Trossard may come in place of Gabriel Martinelli. Trossard scored his first Arsenal goal in the last match against Brentford.
Manchester City striker Erlink Haaland is doubtful for the trip to North London after the striker suffered a niggle in the last match. John Stones is the only definite absentee as the England defender is out with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Nketiah
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte; Rodri, Bernardo Silva; Mahrez, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Grealish; Alvarez
Arsenal haven't won against Manchester City in the Premier League since December 2015. The league leaders have had a torrid period in this fixture and have lost their last 9 league matches against Man City.
The North London club lost 1-2 in this fixture last season as an injury-time goal from Rodri gave Man City all three points.
The two teams have already met this season in the FA Cup and Manchester City ran out 1-0 winners in the match courtesy of a Nathan Ake goal.
The match between Arsenal and Man City will be broadcast on Star Sports Network from 01.00 AM IST on Wednesday night (Early hours of Thursday). Indian viewers can also live-stream the match through Disney+ Hotstar App and Website.
Martin Odegaard has the most goals for Arsenal this season with 8 goals. Bukayo Saka top the assist chart with 8 assists to his name.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has taken things by storm in the Premier League. He has beaten all the expectations and currently sits top of the goal-scoring chart with 25 goals so far in the league.
