Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt are set to leave Arsenal Women after this season, as confirmed by the club. Their potential final game for the Gunners could be against Manchester United in the Women's Super League this weekend. Both players will also be available for the Champions League final against Barcelona on May 24.
Forward Hurtig joined Arsenal from Juventus before the 2022-23 season. Her time at the club has been marred by injuries and personal issues, limiting her appearances. Despite these challenges, she managed to score seven goals in 36 matches, including one goal in five Women's Super League games this season.

Ilestedt, who joined Arsenal a year after Hurtig, played alongside her in Sweden's national team that secured third place in the 2023 Women's World Cup. This season, Ilestedt has only appeared in three Women's Super League matches due to maternity leave. Both players contributed to Arsenal's success by winning Women's League Cup medals in 2023 and 2024.
Academy graduate Teyah Goldie is also departing at the end of this campaign. She has been on loan at Championship winners London City Lionesses and made six first-team appearances for Arsenal. Her departure marks another change in the team's lineup as they prepare for next season.
The departures of Hurtig and Ilestedt signify a period of transition for Arsenal Women. The club will need to adjust their strategy and squad dynamics as they move forward without these key players. Fans will undoubtedly miss their contributions on and off the field.
