Mikel Arteta has assured that Arsenal will remain active in the transfer market, having already welcomed several new players to the team. Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Christian Norgaard have joined Arsenal's pre-season tour in Asia. Meanwhile, Noni Madueke, who signed his contract on Friday, is taking a break after participating in the Club World Cup with Chelsea.
Arsenal is reportedly nearing agreements for Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera. Gyokeres has scored 68 league goals over the past two seasons, leading Europe's top 10 divisions. Bayern Munich's Harry Kane follows with 62 goals during the same period. Last season alone, Gyokeres netted 39 times.

Arteta emphasised the need to enhance both the depth and quality of Arsenal's squad. "There's still a long time in the window," he told reporters in Singapore. "We are seeking still; in terms of numbers, we are short." He expressed satisfaction with recent additions and praised Andrea Berta and his team for their efforts.
Mosquera excelled at Valencia last season, completing more passes (1,822) than any other player in LaLiga. He also ranked third for aerial duels won (32) within his team. Arsenal aims to challenge for the Premier League title again in 2025-26 after finishing as runners-up for three consecutive seasons.
Arsenal will compete against AC Milan and Newcastle United in Singapore before heading to Hong Kong to face Tottenham. Their Premier League campaign kicks off away at Manchester United on August 17.
Arteta refrained from commenting on specific players not yet part of Arsenal's squad but noted that once concrete offers are ready, they will proceed accordingly. "I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet," he stated when asked about Gyokeres.
The manager highlighted how new signings bring fresh energy and excitement to the team. "Bringing new faces... they bring new excitement, new energy as well," Arteta remarked. He believes these additions elevate expectations and performance levels within the club.
Arteta remains optimistic about further strengthening the squad before the transfer window closes. "We have still our hopes we can improve the team," he said, indicating ongoing efforts to secure additional talent.
Overall, Arteta is pleased with Arsenal's progress during pre-season preparations. "Ideally, you want it from day one in pre-season," he noted while expressing contentment with how well-supported their needs have been by the club so far.
