AIFF has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
Amid a club and national team turmoil regarding player releases, the apex body of football released the names of the players who will be representing the Blue Tigers in the continental tournament.

The Indian men's football team includes the talisman Sunil Chhetri, while Hyderabad custodian Gurmeet Singh, who made it to the recent King's Cup is also included in the squad.
The Asian Games 2023 team selection has faced a lot of turmoil due to the reluctance of clubs to release players for the tournament. Even the Indian Olympic Association was unsure of fielding the football team, which was later intervened by the government after an appeal from AIFF.
And as the 17-member squad is announced, let's have a look at the club-wise representatives for the Indian team in the Asian Games-
Gurmeet Singh, Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem, Sumit Rathi, Narender Gahlot, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Samuel James, Rahul KP, Abdul Rabeeh Anjukandan, Ayush Dev Chhetri, Bryce Miranda, Azfar Noorani, Rahim Ali, Vincy Barretto, Sunil Chhetri, Rohit Danu, Gurkirat Singh, Aniket Jadhav, Sandesh Jhingan, Lalchungnunga, Chinglensana Singh
FC Goa and Hyderabad FC have three representatives each in the Indian team for the Asian Games. Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters, Chennaiyin FC, Odisha FC and Punjab FC have two players picked for the Asian Games The remaining players are one each from Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Kenkre FC and Mumbai City FC.
Kenkre FC's Azfar Noorani is the only I-League player who will represent the Indian team in the Asian Games.
