Vishal Yadav, an emerging goalkeeper, has secured a spot on the Indian National Football Team for the 2023 Asian Games.
This will mark the first time he puts on the Blue Tigers' colors, following his commendable performance in the Indian Super League 2022-23 season for Jamshedpur FC. And the player is ecstatic after his selection in the national team.

His experiences outpacing even seasoned Indian goalkeepers, backed with unwavering calmness and patience, particularly in demanding moments, have earned him praise and a chance with the Blue Tigers.
His rapid progression has made him a celebrated figure in the Steel City. Making his debut vs. ATK Mohun Bagan, currently known as Mohun Bagan Super Giant, in early December, Vishal has not slowed down since.
"I started playing football at the age of 12 years and I was another young kid who aspired to be a professional footballer which is how my football journey started," Vishal said after his selection.
"I am so proud to have the opportunity to represent India and I will give my all to help the team and also take this opportunity to learn from the senior players," he added.
The youngster will be on national duties in Hangzhou as India take on China in their first game of the Asian Games.
