Assam, Orissa, Jharkhand make it to Jr National Football QF

Gurgaon, Nov 19 (UNI) Assam blanked Kerala 3-0 to advance into the quarter-finals of the 44th Junior National Football Championship for Dr BC Roy Trophy here today.

Sibra Narzary (10th), M Mushahary (30th) and A Phukan (74th) were the goal getters for the winners.

In another match here, Jharkhand drew Delhi 2-2 but that was enough for Jharkhand to make it to the last eight.

Abhishek Das (11th) and Mohd. Ashraf Mandal (82nd) scored for Jharkhand while Gagan Chauhan (4th) and Ashish (90th) found the target for Delhi.

Meanwhile in Faridabad, Orissa beat Meghalaya by a solitary goal to make it to the round of last eight.

Tatun Das scored the all important goal for Orissa in the 68th minute.

Karnataka played out a goal-less draw but still made it to the quarter-finals.

After today's matches, the eight quarter-finalists have been spotted.
