Kolkata, Oct 25: Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) head coach Jose Molina was given marching orders in the second half of their 0-1 defeat to Mumbai City FC in an Indian Super League (ISL) game on Tuesday.

"We don't know the reason. Only the referee and God knows why he was sent off," assistant coach Bastab Roy told reporters. [Mumbai City FC beat Atletico de Kolkata 1-0]

Diego Forlan scored the winner in the 79th minute to take his side to the top of the points table. Molina was sent off late in the match but the exact reason was unclear.

The ISL disciplinary committee will take a call on the quantum of punishment on Wednesday.

Mumbai City FC head coach Alexandre Guimaraes praised his team saying despite the raft of injuries, Mumbai managed to win.

"We had to solve the absence that we had today. Mattias (Defederico) was out, Leo (Costa) was out, Boithang (Haokip) was out, Thiago Cunha came yesterday, Pronay (Halder) and Roberto Volpato were out too. So we had to think of a different line up.

"Today with all these circumstances we have not just played well but put out a good display," the coach said.

Volpato had to be replaced two hours before the game, Guimaraes said.

"We always try to find a solution. I will like to see other teams come here and play without all the best players like we did. We got to know two hours ago that the best goalkeeper in the ISL is out."
