Atletico Madrid's recent victory over Barcelona has propelled them to the top of LaLiga, but Jan Oblak urges caution. Alexander Sorloth's last-minute goal secured a 2-1 win for Diego Simeone's side at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. Despite not having a shot in the first half, Atletico equalised through Rodrigo De Paul after Pedri's opener, with Sorloth clinching the win.
This triumph marked Atletico's first away win against Barcelona in LaLiga since February 2006, ending a 19-game winless streak at their rival's ground. "I hadn't won in Barcelona since I arrived, finally," said Oblak to Movistar. He emphasised the importance of staying grounded despite this significant achievement.

Oblak highlighted that although they started poorly, they managed to secure three points. "We started badly, with some fear that nobody understands, because we are in very good shape," he noted. The goalkeeper made several crucial saves to keep Barcelona at bay and stressed that the league is long and there are many points still up for grabs.
Rodrigo De Paul's performance was pivotal in Atletico's comeback. After equalising on the hour mark, De Paul has now scored three goals in his last four LaLiga matches, matching his tally from his previous 53 games. His contribution was vital in securing Atletico's position at the top of the table.
"When you suffer more, you enjoy it more," De Paul told Movistar after the match. He expressed immense satisfaction with being league leaders and acknowledged the significance of their victory against such a formidable opponent. "It's exciting to be leaders," he added.
The midfielder also shared his pride in wearing Atletico's shirt and how rewarding it feels when hard work pays off. "It's an honour to wear this shirt, and when things go well it gives me great joy," he stated.
As Atletico Madrid relishes their current success, both Oblak and De Paul stress the importance of maintaining focus for future challenges. With many matches left to play, they remain committed to their pursuit of LaLiga glory.
