The Ballon d'Or 2023 award ceremony took place on Monday (October 30) in Paris. The prestigious football award ceremony felicitates the best footballers across the globe for the past season.
There were multiple awards to be given away at the event. The Ballon d'Or, which is organized by French Football, started in 1956. In 2018, the award was also given to the best female footballers, while Kopa Trophy and Yachine Trophy were introduced to felicitate the best Under-21 player and goalkeeper respectively.

Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Jamal Musiala, Rodri, Kylian Mbappe were among the nominees in the Ballon d'Or 2023.

Manchester City - Manchester City have won the award as they had the most nominees from their club. Also, the Premier League club won treble last season. The likes of Ruben Dias, Rodri, Julian Alvarez, and Ederson came to the stage to accept the award.
