Ballon d'Or 2024, co-organized for the first time by UEFA and France Football, will recognise the best footballers in the world for their contributions across club and country in the 2023-24 season.
The nominees for the Ballon d'Or 2024 were revealed on September 4, mainly featuring players who featured in the Euro and Copa America alongside some club performers.

Lionel Messi has dominated the men's award in recent years, winning a record eight titles, with his longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo bagging the Ballon d'Or five times since 2008. However, the veteran will not feature in this year's awards.
Rising stars like Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Lamine Yamal and Bukaya Saka are among the 30 nominees for the men's Ballon d'Or award alongside the likes of Rodri, Harry Kane and Granit Xhaka among others.
Apart from the men's Ballon d'Or, the women's award as well as the Kopa Trophy, Yashin Trophy, Muller Trophy, Socrates Award, Best Club and the newly introduced best coach awards will be given away during the gala.
