Bengaluru, August 10: Serie A giants Roma are in advanced negotiations with Spanish giants Barcelona to sign their academy forward Munir El Haddadi in a move that could be worth £13.5million, according to the player's agent.

Munir, who spent the last season at on loan at Valencia, is reportedly not in the plans of new manager Ernesto Valverde for the upcoming season and Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu is hoping to offload the youngster for around €15 million.

Clubs like Southampton, West Ham United, Schalke 04, Zenit St Petersburg and Ajax have all earlier expressed their interest for the 21-year-old forward, but it seems, Munir is determined to a move to the Italian side.

His agent, Francesc Valdivieso, also has reaffirmed the news, hinting that he and Munir are in constant contact with Roma, and the attacker would welcome the opportunity to play at the Stadio Olimpico.

"Roma would be a welcome destination, they're a top club, but I can't say any more because the deal is being discussed between the two clubs," his agent, Valdivieso told Romanews Web Radio.

Munir got through the ranks at FC Barcelona and was given his Barcelona debut by former manager Luis Enrique in August 2014.

The youngster since then recorded 10 assists and 10 goals to his name in 45 appearances for the Blaugrana in three seasons, however, last season he was loaned out to Valencia for regular playing time.

The 21-year-old scored 7 goals and made three assists in 36 matches over all in their struggling season. But, with just two years left on his contract and with new Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde not intersted in his services, the club will want Munir to move on.
