Barcelona Dominates Seoul With 7-3 Victory In Pre-Season Friendly Match

In an impressive display, Barcelona defeated Seoul 7-3 in a pre-season friendly. Key contributions came from Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres, showcasing Barcelona's attacking strength.

Barcelona delivered a commanding performance, defeating Seoul 7-3 in a lively pre-season friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Robert Lewandowski set the tone early, scoring within eight minutes by capitalising on Lamine Yamal's shot that hit the post. Yamal then doubled the lead six minutes later, finding the net after his initial pass rebounded back to him.

Seoul responded with Cho Young-Wook scoring just before the 30-minute mark, slipping past Joan Garcia. As first-half stoppage time began, Yazan Al Arab equalised for Seoul following a defensive lapse from Barcelona. However, Yamal restored Barcelona's advantage right before half-time, curling a shot into the top-left corner after cutting inside from the right.

Barcelona Beats Seoul 7-3 in Friendly

Barcelona maintained their momentum in the second half. Andreas Christensen extended their lead in the 55th minute with a long-range strike that found the bottom-left corner. Ferran Torres added another goal in the 74th minute, exploiting a defensive gap to beat Kang Hyeon-Mu at his near post.

Gavi further increased Barcelona's tally two minutes later by skillfully turning his marker and firing a powerful shot into the net. Despite Jung Han-Min narrowing Seoul's deficit with five minutes left by finding the bottom-right corner, Torres sealed Barcelona's victory in the 88th minute by converting Marcus Rashford's deflected pass.

The match statistics highlighted Barcelona's attacking efficiency. In the first half, they scored three goals from four shots on target. After making 11 substitutions at halftime, they intensified their attack with ten shots in total and nine on target, resulting in four more goals despite an expected goals (xG) of only 0.82 for that period.

Barcelona created six significant chances and had 34 touches inside Seoul's penalty area along with 66 entries into the final third. Although their defence conceded three goals from four shots on target, coach Flick will likely focus on these positive aspects as they prepare for upcoming challenges.
