Barcelona set to return for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona are said to be considering yet another offer in January even after being four points clear in La Liga and despite the fact that Coutinho set to be ineligible for the Champions League.

Barca reignite interest in Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona, November 30: Liverpool managed to keep their priced asset Philippe Coutinho away from the clutches of Barcelona in the summer despite the Catalan side’s big offers for the Brazilian but as per reports, Barcelona are unlikely to drop their interest in the Brazilian soon.

As per reports in Spain, Barcelona are preparing an offer for the Liverpool number ten once again in January as the manager and the club hierarchy are desperate for his services.

Barcelona failed with three bids for Coutinho in the summer. The Brazil ace even handed in a transfer request on the eve of the Premier League season and was out of action until the window shut.

But Liverpool held onto their point that they would not sell the player and eventually won the battle.

Barcelona are said to be considering yet another offer in January even after being four points clear in La Liga and despite the fact that Coutinho set to be ineligible for the Champions League.

Barcelona players especially Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are in favour of the deal and so is the management but the players have also identified an alternative to the Brazilian playmaker that is Arsenal's wantaway Mesut Ozil who could be available on a bargain with his contract expiring in the summer.

However, Coutinho remains the top target and Barca chiefs are likely to enter talks with FSG to try and strike a deal.

It has also emerged Liverpool would be willing to accept the fee in instalments as long as the final value reaches the €150million mark.

Barcelona spent big on Ousmane Dembele in the summer after seeing Neymar snatched away in a £200million deal but are not hesitant to pay big for Coutinho who has been their prime target for a while now.
