Barcelona star Lamine Yamal becomes 2nd Youngest to score Champions League Goal - Who are the Youngest Goalscorers?

Lamine Yamal scored his first Champions League for Barcelona in their clash against Monaco on Thursday (September 19).

The youngster showcased his fantastic finishing skill with a sharp goal against Monaco. Yamal showcased his skill by staying onside to receive a long ball before using his physicality to create space from Vanderson and advance towards the goal. His subsequent left-footed strike that found the net was a display of both precision and poise. Although Barcelona lost the match 2-1, Yamal's night was a special one with a milestone strike.

Yamal's goal not only levelled the score for Barcelona but also marked his first in the Champions League, an impressive feat for the young winger. The significance of this moment is enhanced by the fact that it comes on the back of Yamal's remarkable performance in La Liga, where he recently became the youngest player to score a first-half brace.

Yamal has now netted four times in six appearances for Barcelona this season, demonstrating a knack for scoring at his young age. The youngster has also assisted 4 times so far this season.

With his goal, Lamine Yamal has now become the 2nd youngest player to score a Champions League goal. Despite his recent heroics, Yamal did not surpass his Barcelona teammate Ansu Fati as the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history for Barcelona.

Fati still holds that record, having scored against Inter Milan at the age of 17 years and 40 days, whereas Yamal's milestone was reached at 17 years and 68 days.
