Luis Enrique Affirms No Additional Pressure On PSG's Bradley Barcola Despite Impressive Performance

Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola has been in impressive form this Ligue 1 season, scoring eight goals in nine matches. His latest performance saw him netting in PSG's 3-0 victory over Marseille. This brings his tally to nine goals in his last ten league games, surpassing his previous record of eight goals in 64 appearances.

Barcola is currently the top scorer in the league and is just one goal shy of matching his total from the past three seasons combined. Despite this, Luis Enrique insists there is no extra pressure on Barcola. "I don't know and I'm not worried," Enrique stated when asked about Barcola's potential. He emphasised that team dynamics mean others will score when Barcola doesn't.

The young forward has also completed more dribbles than any other PSG player this season, which has led to Randal Kolo Muani being benched. Kolo Muani joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt last year and has contributed 11 goals and six assists in 50 matches across all competitions. However, he has only started two games under Enrique this season.

Recent speculation suggests Kolo Muani might leave the Ligue 1 champions due to limited playing time. Luis Enrique commented, "I trust what I see in matches and in training." He believes players can change their situation through hard work during training sessions.

PSG are set to face Lens at Parc des Princes this Saturday, aiming to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the table. They have a strong record against Lens, having won their last three encounters in Ligue 1. A win would equal their best run against Lens from previous seasons.

Luis Enrique remains confident in his team's abilities and believes that every player must support each other without placing undue pressure on individuals. The focus remains on collective success as PSG continue their campaign for the Ligue 1 title.
