Bayern Munich Deny Reports Of Approaching Mohamed Salah Amid Transfer Speculation
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has dismissed reports that the German club are moving for Mohamed Salah, even as Liverpool prepare for the forward’s confirmed exit at the end of the season after agreeing an early release from his contract.
Liverpool revealed that Salah will depart after nine years at Anfield, ending a period loaded with trophies and records. The club confirmed an agreement that allows Salah to cut short his deal, leaving one of Europe’s most productive attacking spells.

Salah’s representative stated after Liverpool’s announcement that no formal bids had been accepted from any club, and Eberl backed that position from a Bayern view, saying on Winwin: "No, Mohamed Salah has not received any offer from Bayern Munich," when asked about the speculation.
During Salah’s time with Liverpool, the forward helped secure two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, confirming a sustained level of success across domestic and international competitions.
Salah has made 435 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring 255 goals and delivering 119 assists. The 2024-25 campaign was especially productive, with 47 goal involvements recorded in the Premier League alone, underlining Salah’s continued impact late in the Liverpool spell.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| All competitions for Liverpool | 435 | 255 | 119 |
| Premier League 2024-25 (goal involvements) | - | 47 | |
The next destination for Salah remains unclear. The forward has long been linked with the Saudi Pro League, while interest from clubs in MLS and the Turkish Super Lig has also been reported, but Bayern have now stepped back publicly from the chase for Salah’s signature.
With Liverpool already planning for life after Salah and Bayern distancing themselves, the situation heads towards a decisive phase, yet confirmed offers are still absent, leaving Salah’s future path open despite sustained talk from Saudi Arabia, MLS and Turkey.
