Bayern Munich Kane Hat-Trick Sends Five-Star Finish Against Koln In Final Bundesliga Match

Bayern Munich ended the Bundesliga campaign in style, beating Koln 5-1 at Allianz Arena as Harry Kane scored a hat-trick. The champions, who had already secured the title, still produced a dominant display that underlined their attacking strength across the entire season.

The result completed a league campaign in which Bayern lost only once, matching similar seasons in 2012-13 and 1986-87. Bayern also finished as Germany’s most prolific side this term, while Kane closed the season as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer.

Bayern Kane hat-trick seals 5-1 win

Bayern’s 122 league goals set a new benchmark among current elite competitions, with no team in Europe’s top five leagues scoring more in a single season since Torino hit 125 in 40 matches in 1947-48. Kane contributed heavily, reaching 36 Bundesliga goals with this latest treble.

The numbers from the Koln match reflected Bayern’s control. Bayern recorded 19 shots and 2.72 expected goals, repeatedly testing goalkeeper Marvin Schwabe. Koln created far less, finishing with 0.9 expected goals, and rarely managed to trouble Bayern’s defence despite one sharp counter-attacking move.

Kane needed only 10 minutes to open the scoring. Konrad Laimer swung in a cross from the right, Joshua Kimmich diverted the delivery into the path of the England captain, and Kane volleyed from close range beyond Schwabe to give Bayern an early advantage.

Three minutes later, Kane struck again from a set piece on the edge of the area. Kimmich rolled a short free-kick into space, and Kane guided a first-time effort through several defenders and past Schwabe, putting Bayern two goals ahead inside 13 minutes.

Koln replied in the 18th minute when Said El Mala won the ball deep in Koln territory, surged forward into space and finished with a low shot across goal. Bayern restored the two-goal margin four minutes later as Tom Bischof collected a loose ball near the box and picked out the bottom-left corner.

After the frantic opening spell, Bayern continued to threaten. Jamal Musiala and Lennart Karl both saw efforts come back off the woodwork. Kane completed the hat-trick in the 69th minute with a powerful long-range drive, before Nicolas Jackson converted Luis Diaz’s pass with seven minutes remaining.

The emphatic win over Koln, highlighted by Kane’s treble and further goals from Bischof and Jackson, neatly captured Bayern’s season. Bayern combined relentless attacking output with defensive control, closing the Bundesliga campaign as champions, leading scorers and with just one defeat on their record.
