Paris, Dec 20: Having scored over 250 professional career goals and more than 50 goals in the national jersey at just 25 years of age most of the people in the World touted current Paris Saint-German and former Barcelona player Neymar to be the next big thing in world Football after Ronaldo and Messi however in a shocking revelation at an event according to Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has made a bold claim about the player has labelled the superstar as an overrated player.

Following months of speculation surrounding his future, the Brazilian attacker Neymar finally made the move from Barcelona to French giants Paris Saint-Germain in August, for a world-record fee of 222 million Euro and since then has been enjoying a outrageous start to life in the French capital, having netted an incredible 17 goals and 11 assists in 19 appearances between Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

But to everyone's surprise, the Bayern President has claimed that although he likes one of Neymar's teammates Kylian Mbappe, however, the Brazilian superstar does not look that much of extraordinary something to him as per his price tag.

Hoeness told at a Christmas party organised by a Bayern fan club: "We cannot invest 222 million in Neymar, who does not seem so good to me.

"We cannot invest figures like that, not even 180m for [Kylian] Mbappe, who I think is very good."

He also claimed that Bayern do not believe in buying players by throwing money and they would only invest in a player as per his calibre and will rely upon their academy.

"I think there will be transfers of £50m, £60m or £70m," he continued.

"Basically, the club strives for a mix of top stars and players from the youth [setup]."

"We have to find our own way in this shark pit in which we move when talking about transfers for 100 and 200 million euros, we want to be at the top but not at just any price."
