Bayern Munich star David Alaba puts top clubs on red alert as he leaves exit talks open

Bayern Munich star David Alaba has admitted that he could move on from Germany to experience a new adventure and thus put top clubs on red alert with his desire to exit.

25-year-old David Alaba has recently been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Bengaluru, March 7: Star Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has put all the top European clubs on red alert by admitting that he could move on from Germany to experience a new adventure. The 25-year-old has recently been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona whereas Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all also keeping tabs on him.

The player has a contract with the German champions till 2021 but the Bayern academy product in his latest comments has appeared to suggest he could be open to a move to a new side in the future.

Taking a different path:

"I am aware that I one day will have to make the decision, and I still feel great here," Alaba said. "But I can also imagine taking a different path, making the next step or seeking a new challenge.

"But I leave that open for now. I have goals for this season I want to reach. That's why there is no place for those thoughts right now."

"What will I do in the future? It's something I'm wondering since I do not see myself here for five more years.

"In football, nothing happens very fast and I know that there will come a time to make a decision. I set short-term goals."

Ever since making his debut in 2010, the Austria international has been one of the best players in the German giant's side and has won six Bundesliga titles - including the last five in a row - as well as the Champions League and four German Cups.

The versatile player who can play at left-back, in midfield or as a centre-back is also a mainstay in Jupp Heynckes' side this term also and has played 28 times for Bayern this season, scoring once assisting twice.
