Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid Predicted Playing XI: How Will Both Teams Lineup For UEFA Champions League Leg 2?

In the search for a remontada, 15-time UEFA Champions League champions, Real Madrid, will travel to the Allianz Arena to face an in-form Bayern Munich side to continue their onward journey and reach their 34th semifinals. In the first leg, Alvaro Arbeloa's men fell to a 2-1 defeat in the first leg in front of a packed stadium at the Bernabeu.

The pulsating encounter featured plenty of chances for both teams. However, the German team was better than the Spanish side on the night. Two goals from forwards, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane, on either side of halftime sealed the victory for Bayern Munich.

It looked like the German side would walk away with a clear 2-0 victory. However, Kylian Mbappe's late strike gave a cushion to Los Blancos. But, even though the deficit is just one goal in the second leg, Arbeloa's men will be sweating their chances against Bayern, who have just lost once in all competitions this season.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid: Team News

Bayern Munich

Bayern head into their biggest test of the campaign with minimal concerns over squad fitness. Only Sven Ulreich, Lennart Karl, Cassiano Kiala, David Santos, and Wisdom Mike are unavailable, though none were likely to feature in such a high-stakes encounter.
The attacking trio of Harry Kane, Luis Díaz, and Michael Olise caused significant problems for Madrid in their previous meeting. Meanwhile, Bayern also has additional firepower in Jamal Musiala and Raphaël Guerreiro, both of whom were on target in the dominant 5-0 win over FC St. Pauli over the weekend.

Real Madrid

With Aurélien Tchouameni unavailable due to suspension, Álvaro Arbeloa is expected to reshuffle his midfield, leaving the defensive midfield role open for adjustment. In the absence of Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga appears to be the leading candidate to step in. Camavinga was already tested in that role during the 1-1 draw against Girona FC on Friday.

On the flanks, Ferland Mendy may be deployed to counter Michael Olise, especially after Álvaro Carreras found it difficult in the first leg. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé is still expected to feature despite picking up a concerning head injury in the Girona clash.
