Things have not gone the way they were expected to for Sanches who has had a horrible time at Swansea City has also been dropped to the bench in recent weeks.

Bengaluru, December 19: Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich have no interest in recalling Renato Sanches back from his nightmare loan spell at Swansea.

The 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder arrived at the South Wales club which appeared to be quite a coup by the manager Paul Clement

However, things have not gone the way they were expected to as the promising youngster has had a horrible time at the Liberty Stadium and has also been dropped to the bench in recent weeks.

Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes has no intention of bringing Sanches back to Bavaria next month.

He told Bild: "I assume that Hasan Salihamidzic [Sporting Director] talked to him on the phone.

"I'm surprised. I'm not worried about getting him back to Bayern.

"You also have to see if that makes sense. In midfield, we have no need."

The turn of events for the young midfielder is really surprising considering he won the European Golden Boy award just last season and won the Euros with Portugal.

His debut season with Bayern was nothing but a nightmare and his loan spell with Swansea this campaign has been an even bigger nightmare.

Swansea find themselves at the bottom of the table and face a trip to a rejuvenated Everton side this evening.

Sanches has only completed 90 minutes twice for the Swans in the Premier League and was completely left out of the squad for the win over West Brom and the defeat to Manchester City which shows how poor his form has been with the Swans.

Swansea boss Clement has admitted that the ex-Benfica star is not happy, although he too is adamant Sanches will not head back to Bayern.

When quizzed on the future of Sanchez, Clement said: "There is no news. He's been out of the last two squads, he's not very happy.

"I haven't had any specific communication with Bayern regarding Renato's current situation, it's just speculation.

"Contractually, I believe he's signed for us for the season, and there were no stipulations in there that he has to play this amount of games for him to stay for the full term.

"As far as I know he's a player here for us for the season."
