Bellingham Commends Mbappe As Key Player Following Stuttgart Triumph

Jude Bellingham praised Kylian Mbappe for his impressive Champions League debut goal in Real Madrid's victory over Stuttgart. Bellingham highlighted Mbappe's quick adaptation and potential impact this season.

Jude Bellingham praised Kylian Mbappe for another significant achievement in his career. Mbappe scored during his Champions League debut for Real Madrid, contributing to a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart. This goal marked his 49th in the competition, with only Robert Lewandowski scoring more since Mbappe's debut. He also became the second Frenchman to score on his Madrid debut in this tournament, following Christian Karembeu's feat in 1998.

Bellingham highlighted how quickly Mbappe has adapted to life at Real Madrid. "He's going to be a huge player for us, this season and beyond. He always delivers so far, it's a lot of pressure coming to a club like Madrid, but he's taken to it really easily and the lads love him already," he stated.

Bellingham Lauds Mbappe After Stuttgart Win

The match against Stuttgart also marked Bellingham's return after missing four games due to a muscle injury. In his comeback, he excelled by winning two tackles and achieving a pass accuracy of 93.3%, the highest among his teammates. Last season, Bellingham made 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists during his first year at Santiago Bernabeu.

Bellingham expressed excitement about being back on the field after recovering from injury. "Three-and-a-half weeks [out] has been difficult. I've not been injured a lot in my career, so whenever it happens, I'm a bit impatient," he said. He was eager to return slowly and had planned this game as his comeback opportunity.

In the first half against Stuttgart, Bellingham was full of energy and enthusiasm, eager to create opportunities and get involved in the attack. However, he admitted that he ran out of steam in the second half and played deeper as he adjusted back into form. Despite this, he remains optimistic about regaining full fitness and performing well throughout the season.

Bellingham also shone for England at Euro 2024 and is determined to achieve more success this season with Real Madrid. His performance against Stuttgart demonstrated his readiness to contribute significantly once again.
