"Football is not easy. Everyone wants to beat us and we need to be prepared to be even better than before.

"We want to do what is best for Indian football. Would like to work towards making India a strong footballing nation.

"Bengaluru FC as a club is really professional. The facilities are good enough and I can't wait to start working.

"We will be expected to continue the work Ashley has started. We want to be the best and bring more joy to the fans.

"I come from Barcelona, I have picked up a lot of experience and I want to pass that on here at Bengaluru FC.

"We are used to travelling to different countries, working in diverse environments, that would help us here in Bengaluru."

The club's assistant manager Carles Cuadrat too was present in the media interaction.

He said: "Excited to be here in India. Initial experiences are great and we are looking forward to working with the boys."

Carles Cuadrat had previously worked with Albert Roca at Spanish giants FC Barcelona. He spoke about his long association with the manager.
