
Goa, March 17: Bengaluru FC and ATK Mohun Bagan will clash in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Saturday (March 18).
Simon Grayson's BFC reached the final via a shootout win over League Shield winners Mumbai City after their two-legged semifinal ended 2-2 on aggregate on Sunday (March 12).
Sunil Chhetri's header had handed BFC a 1-0 win in Mumbai, but the league leaders won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Bengaluru to take the match to extra time and then eventually the penalties in which MCFC Mehtab Singh missed his effort.
Juan Ferrando's ATKMB, on the other hand, played a stalemate in both the legs of the semifinal against defending champions Hyderabad FC and reached the summit clash via a shootout in which HFC's Bartholomew Ogbeche and Javier Siverio squandered their efforts.
During the league stages, Grayson's BFC scored just 27 goals and conceded 23. Javi Hernandes and Sivasakthi Narayanan were the top goal-scorers for BFC in the league stage with 6 goals each. In the knockout and semifinal, BFC added three more goals and conceded two.

Ferrando's ATKMB, on the other hand, scored just 24 goals in the league stage, but had the second best defence after HFC, conceding just 17 goals. In the knockout match, ATKMB scored two more goals and kept a cleansheet to take their goal tally to 26 for the season.
Dimitri Petratos is the top-scorer for the Mariners with 10 goals in 22 appearances, while Hugo Boumous has scored 5 goals. The pair also got on the score-sheet in the 2-0 win over Odisha FC in the knockout match. Goalkeeper Vishal Kaith leads the cleansheets list with 11.
