In a clash between struggling sides Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC, both with just one victory each in the Indian Super League (ISL), the match on November 30 promises an opportunity for redemption.

Bengaluru FC, currently eighth in the standings with six points, is coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw against NorthEast United.

Despite Sunil Chhetri's lead, an own goal forced them to settle for a point. A win against Punjab FC could propel them up the table. Head coach Simon Grayson, confident in his team's ability, expressed optimism in bouncing back from a challenging start.

While Bengaluru FC has lost three and drawn three, Grayson highlighted their competitiveness in close matches.

On the other side, newly promoted Punjab FC finds themselves at the bottom of the table with no victories in seven games. With three draws and four losses, they've conceded the second-highest number of goals in the league. Coach Staikos Vergitis acknowledged his team's tough start but emphasized recent improvements.

Despite the lack of wins, he remains hopeful that their long-awaited triumph is imminent. Transitioning from the I-League to the ISL, Vergitis noted the competitiveness in their matches and the narrow margins of their losses.

Grayson acknowledged Bengaluru FC's need to earn the right to win matches and stressed the importance of playing with a positive attitude. He expressed confidence in the coaching staff and players, believing in their abilities to turn things around.

Vergitis, reflecting on Punjab FC's journey from the I-League, highlighted their efforts to stay competitive in all games. Despite losses, he sees the team working harder and anticipates a breakthrough victory soon.

As the two sides prepare to face each other, both coaches remain hopeful that this encounter could be a turning point for their teams in the ISL. Bengaluru FC aims to climb the standings, while Punjab FC seeks their first-ever ISL triumph.
