Bodoland FC edged out Border Security Force FT in a thrilling seven-goal match to keep their hopes of advancing to the knockouts alive in Group E of the Durand Cup 2024 held at the SAI Stadium.
Jwngbla Brahma netted twice, while Mitinga Dwimary and Sibra Narzary also scored for the home team. Kishori scored a brace, and Asif Khan added another for BSF FT. Bodoland concluded their group stage with six points, while BSF FT, who lost all three of their matches, ended without a point.

Khlain Syiemlieh made one adjustment to Bodoland's starting lineup, giving Jwngbla Brahma a start, while BSF FT's Head Coach Gurjit Singh Atwal made three changes for their final match, with goalkeeper Harpreet Singh, Nilambar SA, and Gopal Hembrom starting.
Bodoland took a shock lead just two minutes into the game when Mitinga Dwimary finished off a cross from Momocha Singh. Bodoland missed a chance to double their lead as Mitinga squandered a close-range opportunity, and Joe Aidoo's follow-up shot was cleared off the line.
At the other end, BSF missed a couple of chances to score, with Lakhwinder Singh shooting over the bar and Kishori hitting the side netting. Despite dominating the rest of the half, Bodoland couldn't trouble the BSF defense further.
BSF equalized four minutes after the break when Kishori capitalized on a defensive mix-up between Danswrang Basumatry and goalkeeper Draoga Brahma to score their first goal of the tournament.
Bodoland regained the lead through a penalty awarded after captain Mohammad Aasif fouled Zacharie Mbenda. Jwngbla Brahma converted the spot-kick, and eight minutes later, substitute Sibra Narzary headed in Bilson Daimari's cross to make it 3-1. Lakhwinder nearly pulled one back, but his effort hit the post.
Kishori scored his second goal, beating the offside trap from a free-kick to reduce the deficit to 3-2. However, Bodoland quickly restored their two-goal cushion with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box by Jwngbla Brahma.
Bodoland were reduced to ten men after Bilson Daimari was sent off for pushing BSF's Lakhwinder to the ground, which slowed their momentum. BSF took advantage of the extra man, scoring their third goal in the 89th minute when Kishori set up Asif Khan, whose shot slipped under the Bodoland goalkeeper. Despite the late pressure, Bodoland held on to secure their second victory of the tournament.
