Borussia Dortmund Confirms Intent To Pursue Jadon Sancho Transfer Amid Ongoing Links

Sebastian Kehl of Borussia Dortmund has stated the club's determination to sign Jadon Sancho again. The England international is exploring options after a challenging period at Manchester United.

Jadon Sancho's future remains uncertain as Borussia Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, expressed the club's interest in re-signing him. Sancho, who joined Manchester United from Dortmund in July 2021, has struggled to secure a regular spot under managers Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim. A public disagreement with ten Hag during the 2023-24 season led to his loan back to Dortmund in January 2024.

After a brief return to Manchester United, Sancho moved to Chelsea on a season-long loan, where he contributed to their Conference League victory. Currently, he is among four Manchester United players seeking exits and has been linked with several European clubs this transfer window. Although a potential move to Juventus appears stalled, speculation about his return to Dortmund persists.

Dortmund Looks to Re-sign Jadon Sancho

Sancho's willingness to take a pay cut could facilitate his move back to the Bundesliga. Kehl confirmed that discussions are ongoing within Dortmund's board regarding the feasibility of such a transfer. "Jadon is constantly being linked with us. I understand the desire," Kehl stated. "We're thinking about it within our possibilities. The conditions have to be right."

During his previous stints at Dortmund, Sancho made 158 appearances and was instrumental in their success. He scored 53 goals and provided 59 assists for the team. In his last spell with the club, despite playing only half a season, he created the fifth-most chances (34) for the Black and Yellow.

Kehl acknowledged that while they are keen on bringing Sancho back, there are limitations they must consider. "We will definitely do something, but we're limited," he mentioned. Sancho's impressive record at Dortmund includes attempting 126 dribbles and completing 62, making him a valuable asset for the team.

The England international's potential return would bolster Dortmund's attacking options significantly. His ability to create opportunities and score goals makes him an attractive prospect for the club as they evaluate their options within their financial constraints.

As discussions continue, fans eagerly await updates on whether Sancho will don the Black and Yellow jersey once again. The outcome of these negotiations will determine if he can reignite his career at a club where he previously thrived.
