Dortmund's last league title triumph came in 2012 when the current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was at the helm of the Black and Yellow brigade. But since then the club have seen a topsy-turvy ride in the league where they even finished outside the Champions League spot once.

In the meantime, Bayern showed their dominance in the league and eventually added consecutive five league titles to their trophy cabinet. However last year, after five years the Westfalenstadion side again saw the face of a silverware when their former manager Thomas Tuchel guided them to DFB Pokal win.

The United States rising star, Pulisic played an important role last season in Dortmund's campaign and recorded five goals as well as 13 assists in 43 games.

The 18-year-old is currently preparing for the upcoming 2017/18 campaign with Dortmund under new coach Peter Bosz at BVB's summer training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

While speaking to 'Kicker', Pulisic now claimed that in the next season the club have a big shot at winning the league for the first time in five years.

"We've got a big chance to win the league this coming season," he said.

The youngster also maintained that he hopes to improve his own flourishing status next term more firmly after last season's success.

"Last year was a good step for my development, it was my first full year as a professional," he said.

"I want to build on that. I want to score goals and be dangerous on the pitch. I don't feel the pressure from fans or media. Only I can put pressure on myself, but I'm trying to keep a lid on things as much as possible."

For next season's preparation, Dortmund have already added three new faces to their squad with the likes of Maximilian Philipp, Mahmoud Dahoud and Ömer Toprak and will start their campaign against last season's winner Bayern Munich on 6th August in the DFL Super cup competition.
