Bournemouth Dominates Everton With 3-0 Win In Pre-Season Tournament At MetLife Stadium

Bournemouth began their Premier League Summer Series with a commanding 3-0 victory over Everton at MetLife Stadium. Philip Billing and Dango Ouattara scored two quick goals in the second half, followed by Daniel Adu-Adjei's finish to seal the win. Despite Everton's strong first-half chances, Bournemouth's second-half performance secured the victory.

In the first half, Everton had promising opportunities. Carlos Alcaraz and Beto both tested Bournemouth's goalkeeper, Djordje Petrovic, but neither could score. The match remained goalless until nine minutes into the second half when Billing struck from outside the box after a clever play with Hamed Traore.

Bournemouth Beats Everton 3-0 in Pre-Season Match

Just four minutes after Billing's goal, Ouattara doubled Bournemouth's lead. He capitalised on Nathan Patterson's mistake and fired past Jordan Pickford at the near post. Substitute Adu-Adjei then took advantage of Jake O'Brien's poor back pass, beating Pickford to score through his legs.

Andoni Iraola’s team will next face Manchester United in their pre-season tournament. Meanwhile, David Moyes is set to encounter his former club West Ham. Bournemouth’s impressive start sets a positive tone for their upcoming matches.

Bournemouth’s defence was solid against Everton, showcasing their strength despite Dean Huijsen’s departure to Real Madrid this summer. Centre-backs Marcos Senesi and James Hill were particularly effective. Hill led in aerial duels with nine wins and made 15 clearances, while also having the most touches (89).

Senesi contributed significantly by completing 62 passes, more than any other player on the field. Both he and Hill shared the highest number of interceptions with two each. Their defensive efforts provided a strong foundation for Bournemouth’s attacking success.
