AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of 20-year-old midfielder Alex Toth from Ferencvaros. Toth agrees a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Premier League club. The reported transfer fee is 10.4m, with potential add-ons of 2.6m. Ferencvaros will also receive 10% of any future transfer profit.
The Hungary international arrives after an impressive league campaign under Robbie Keane. Toth plays 14 top-flight matches this season, scoring once and delivering one assist. The midfielder records an 86.1% passing accuracy. Defensive numbers are also strong, with 76.9% of tackles and 47.9% of duels won.

Toth could feature quickly for Andoni Iraola’s side. The midfielder is in contention to make a debut against Liverpool at Vitality Stadium on Saturday. Bournemouth announced the move with a social media post, highlighting the long-term nature of the agreement and Toth’s potential role in midfield rotation.
Toth spoke to the club’s media after completing the move. It feels amazing to be a part of this club and I am excited to achieve good things
, Toth told the Bournemouth website. Club officials see Toth as a long-term option who can compete in several midfield roles.
"When I knew AFC Bournemouth were first interested in me, I was excited and happy because this is a good club in the Premier League, the best league in the world and the strongest league. The whole club, the whole structure is great. When I was speaking to the directors, it was quite obvious for me because they were such good guys. I am really looking forward to achieving great things and making good results with this team."
Toth also brings recent European and international experience to Bournemouth. The midfielder appears in five Europa League matches for Ferencvaros during the 2025-26 campaign, with the Hungarian club currently sixth in the league phase. Toth earns six caps for Hungary in 2026 World Cup qualifying, adding valuable exposure at international level.
