Brazil have put their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign back on track with a convincing 3-0 win over Haiti on Friday (June 19). The Selecao won the match 3-0, thus claiming the top spot in the Group C points table as well.

Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, reacting quickest after Vinicius Junior's effort was parried and a defensive ricochet fell kindly for the striker. Cunha then doubled Brazil's advantage in the 36th minute with a superb left-footed finish into the roof of the net after being set up by Vinicius.

If the Selecao avoid a defeat against Scotland in their final group stage encounter, they will be through to the Round of 32. The top spot will be ensured if Brazil can score no fewer than two goals than Morocco in their respective final matches. Even if Brazil lose to Scotland, they can have a big possibility of progressing as one of the third-placed teams.
