The tweet read:

The Red Devils are on a roll this week as this is their second signing in 2 days. Earlier this week star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic had confirmed the news that he will be joining Manchester United. Yesterday (July 1) he completed his medical and other formalities and the club officially announced the news.

Moments back Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund confirmed that their attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will join Manchester United this summer.

The Armenian international has been linked with the club since Jose Mourinho joined the Red Devils as their next boss. Mkhitaryan had brilliant season last time at the Westfalenstadio. In 31 appearances for Dortmund, he scored 11 goals and assisted 15 times.

The English giants have been a keen admirer of the midfielder for more than a year and he had been linked with other clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool. But Manchester United have the last laugh as they have successfully roped in the player.

Borussia Dortmund released a statement which read: "After intensive discussions BVB have complied with the wishes of the Armenian national team player to join Manchester United.

"Manchester made us an enormously lucrative offer. Had we rejected it the player would have left in 2017 without a fee and we would have just delayed the issue for a year."

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder joined Borussia Dortmund in 2013 from Shakhtar Donetsk. He is an extremely swift customer with the ball and his work rate is extremely high, just what Jose Mourinho wants in his team.
