Jake O'Brien's late goal secured a 1-1 draw for Everton against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. This result extended Everton's unbeaten run to seven matches, while Brentford missed out on a third consecutive league victory. Yoane Wissa had given Brentford the lead with his 13th league goal of the season just before halftime.
Beto, who has been in good form, missed two clear chances in the first half for Everton. However, O'Brien equalised with a diving header from Vitalii Mykolenko's cross in the 77th minute. Despite another missed opportunity by Beto later, Everton managed to earn a point but dropped to 15th place.

Thomas Frank's Brentford remains in 11th place and is now winless in six home league games. The draw was significant for Everton as it marked their longest unbeaten streak since December 2017, when they also went seven games without defeat.
Vitalii Mykolenko reached a personal milestone by becoming the second Ukrainian to make 100 Premier League appearances, following Oleksandr Zinchenko. He celebrated this achievement by assisting O'Brien's equaliser with a precise cross.
James Tarkowski also achieved a notable feat by making his 103rd consecutive Premier League appearance. This surpassed Joleon Lescott's record of 102 consecutive games for an outfield player at Everton.
The match highlighted both team and individual achievements for Everton. Although they dropped one position in the standings, their resilience and ability to secure points remain evident.
