Wrexham have secured Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich on a permanent basis. Broadhead has committed to a four-year contract with the club, reportedly for a record fee of £10 million. The 27-year-old forward featured in 18 Premier League matches for Ipswich last season, netting two goals. He also brings experience from the Europa League during his stint with Everton.
Broadhead has accumulated significant Championship experience, scoring 18 goals and providing three assists in 61 appearances. His career includes time at Everton's academy, loan spells at Burton Albion, Sunderland, and Wigan, and three years with Ipswich. Now, he returns to Wrexham, where he once played as an academy player.

"It's been a long time coming and I'm delighted to join the club," said Broadhead about his return to Wrexham. His signing marks Wrexham's ninth addition this summer, joining players like Kieffer Moore and Conor Coady.
Phil Parkinson, Wrexham's manager, expressed his excitement about Broadhead's arrival. "I'm delighted to welcome Nathan to the club; he's a local boy who had a real desire to come and play for his hometown club," Parkinson stated. The manager is eager to work with Broadhead in the upcoming seasons.
The club aims to rally support from North Wales fans at Stok Cae Ras this season. "Belief is going to be the biggest thing for us this season," emphasized the team’s commitment to engaging their supporters.
This transfer window has seen Wrexham break their transfer record twice. Before Broadhead's signing, they acquired Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest for £3 million. These strategic moves highlight Wrexham's ambition to strengthen their squad significantly.
Broadhead’s return signifies not only a homecoming but also an opportunity for him to contribute significantly at Wrexham. With his extensive experience across various leagues and competitions, he is expected to play a pivotal role in the team's future successes.
