Bryan Mbeumo has chosen to join Manchester United and has given the green signal for a potential transfer, as per reports.
Manchester United are pushing ahead in their bid to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, with just 12 months remaining on the Cameroonian's contract in West London. The 25-year-old, who enjoyed a stellar 2024-25 campaign with 20 Premier League goals and eight assists, has attracted interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Newcastle United have all made enquiries for Mbeumo, but according to The Athletic, the forward has expressed a clear preference for a move to Old Trafford.
After a disastrous season in the Premier League which saw the Red Devils finish 15th, they are in need of some top signings. Their manager Ruben Amorim has identified Mbeumo as a key target, and the player is keen in joining the Old Trafford outfit.
United have already completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a £62.5 million move, and Mbeumo is now high on the club's list of targets. Brentford value the winger at around £50 million, and manager Thomas Frank has acknowledged that a sale is likely if a suitable offer is made.
"If the right price - and that's going to be expensive - is coming, then I'm sure the club will be open to it," Frank told Sky Sports last month.
Mbeumo's physical and tactical profile aligns well with Amorim's vision. He was among the fastest players in the Premier League last season and ranked fourth in total sprints - a testament to his relentless work rate and athleticism.
Despite strong interest from Arsenal, Mbeumo opted for Manchester United due to concerns over his role at the North London club. With Bukayo Saka firmly established as the first-choice right winger under Mikel Arteta, Mbeumo will have limited playing time and will be used primarily as a deputy.
At United, however, the pathway to a regular starting role appears clearer. Amorim's tactical setup and the club's need for wide attacking reinforcements have convinced Mbeumo that he would be a central figure in United's plans - not a backup option. Although it will mean no continental football for the 25-year-old, he is likely to play a key role next season if he joins the Red Devils.
