Bukayo Saka suffers injury during England match - How long may the Arsenal star miss?

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka suffered an injury in England's UEFA Nations League encounter on Thursday (October 10) against Greece.

During the match, there was a moment of concern as Bukayo Saka had to leave the field due to an injury as England lost at home 1-2. Vangelis Pavildis scored a brace and the winner for the visitors came in the 95th minute, which means England now sit 2nd in the group following the defeat.

England's performance did not meet expectations, and Saka's departure from the game further marred the loss. In the early stages of the second half, Saka was seen holding the back of his right leg and then the Arsenal player eventually took the ground. He was soon substituted and the England coach confirmed that the player felt something.

"He's being assessed. Obviously in the build-up to the first goal, you can see he felt something in his leg," Carsley commented regarding Saka's condition post-game.

What injury did Bukayo Saka suffer?

Bukayo Saka's injury seems muscular at the moment, and it indicates towards a hamstring issue. If the player suffers with something related to muscle, Arsenal may miss him for a considerable amount of time.

Saka's potential injury lay-off will be a massive blow for the North London club. It further compounds the problems for Mikel Arteta, given the recent loss of their captain, Martin Odegaard, to an ankle injury he suffered while playing for Norway in September.

The accumulation of injuries to key players poses a challenge for Mikel Arteta's team, especially with the Premier League resuming on 19 October. Arsenal is slated to face Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium, and the potential absence of crucial players like Saka could impact their performance in the upcoming matches.
