Bundesliga Plans To Scout Talents in India For Training In Germany

By MyKhel Staff

Germany's top-tier football league, Bundesliga, are expected to scout talents in India through pan-India trials and the selected age-group footballers will be sent to Germany to train in youth academies for two seasons.

It has been learnt from sources that the Bundesliga is going to collaborate with an Indian organisation to scout six U-13 and U-15 football teams following trials and tournaments across India under its Bundesliga Dream initiative.

The national level trials will be followed by final upon which a team of Indian and Bundesliga coaches will shortlist the squad, who will fly to Germany and train in their youth academies throughout 2023-24 and 2024-25.

MyKhel has learnt from reliable sources that an Indian multi-sport platform for talent scouting, BigHit is likely to sign a deal with the German League soon for the project.

Upon being contacted, a BigHit official said that there's no official confirmation on the development but added that they would love to work with Bundesliga.

"We are excited to offer the young and driven Indian youth a one-time opportunity to experience international-level training early in their lives. Together, with Bundesliga International, we are poised to pioneer a game-changing movement in the sport," said Shaktie Prakash, Founder and CEO, BigHit.
