In a thrilling Serie A match, Cagliari and AC Milan drew 3-3. Both Rafael Leao and Gabriele Zappa scored twice, highlighting the intense competition.

AC Milan and Cagliari played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, with both Rafael Leao and Gabriele Zappa scoring twice for their teams. This result places Milan in seventh position in Serie A, while Cagliari sits 16th, just one point above the relegation zone. The match was filled with dramatic moments and crucial goals that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Nadir Zortea opened the scoring for Cagliari with a volley from a corner just 65 seconds into the game. However, Milan quickly responded with Leao finding the net in the 15th and 40th minutes to give his team the lead. Despite a disallowed goal for Nicolas Viola after a VAR review in first-half stoppage time, Cagliari managed to equalise eight minutes into the second half.

Cagliari and AC Milan End in 3-3 Draw

Zappa's first goal brought Cagliari level before Tammy Abraham restored Milan's lead in the 69th minute. The excitement continued as Zappa scored again in the 89th minute, securing a vital point for Cagliari. This performance marked Zappa as the first defender since Hans-Peter Briegel in 1986 to score twice against AC Milan in Serie A.

This match marked the third instance in five games where Milan scored three goals across all competitions. Previously, they achieved 3-1 victories over Real Madrid and Club Brugge in the Champions League. Paulo Fonseca's squad is currently leading scorers outside Serie A's top five with 20 goals from 11 matches.

Despite their offensive strength, Milan needs to focus on defence as they have conceded 14 goals, which is among the highest within the top seven teams. Improving their defensive record will be crucial if they aim to climb higher up the league standings.
